Our Cloud Migration Journey from AWS to Azure

Recently We were working with one of the OTT players wherein helped them to strategize and migrate the entire platform from AWS to Azure and also rebuild and modernize key components to cater to the high throughput and performance requirement
In this blog series, I will be sharing some of the key learnings learned during this migration.
Below are some of the key milestones performed during this migration.
- Asset migration includes raw and transcoded media and images having more than 700 TB of data and more than 300 million files from AWS s3 to Azure Blob.
- Database Migration which has more than 400GB of data from RDS to Azure MySql / Postgres.
- How we migrate Legacy Authentication using Redis and JWT
- How we migrate continue watching from Dynamodb to Redis
- Setting up cloud infrastructure using terraform.
- Setting up CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps.
- Migrating existing applications from ECS/VM based legacy applications to AKS
- Scaling up the system which can easily serve 100k RPS
- DNS Migration from Route53 to Azure DNS
- Setting up Multiple CDN
